Hudson Revesz and his “Aunt Sami” created their first pair of custom sneakers in 2017. At the time, Revesz was a student at Miami Beach Senior High. One day he saw a fellow classmate wearing a pair of sneakers the student had embellished by drawing on and in that instant the idea for Reed Revesz was born. Steinberg and Revesz made two pairs of custom sneakers that year but the timing wasn’t right.

Samantha Steinberg is a formally trained artist and graduate of the prestigious Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). In 1998 Steinberg decided wanted to combine her artistic talent and her interest in everything true crime/serial killer and become the first forensic artist ever in Miami-Dade County. Working initially as an unpaid volunteer Steinberg’s second composite drawing, a suspect in a home invasion robbery with a tattoo on his forearm, was identified as soon as her drawing was released on a Need to Identify flyer. She was hired by by the Police in 1999 and became the first forensic artist in Miami-Dade County in 2001 when the position was approved. Steinberg spent the past 25 years as THE forensic artist for the largest police department in the South Eastern United States. As a direct result of her extraordinary artwork over 400 criminal suspects and unknown decedents have been identified. 
 
During Steinberg’s 24th year with Miami-Dade Police she and her nephew, Hudson Revesz, decided to start a custom sneaker company which they named Reed Revesz.
